Able Housing Services Corp is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, Community Development Corporation that builds community awareness and develops communities where the people are underserved. Our focus is on housing, food, health and wellness, education, employment, financial literacy, and disaster assistance. Nearly 100+ families receive food from AHSC every month.

By 2022, Able Housing Services Corp will support 500 families in finding permanent housing.

We are aligned to offer many resources for individuals and families who are experiencing difficult times. We provide effective, reliable solutions to serve as a starting point to overcome setbacks, difficult circumstances, and challenging situations. To promote community-wide commitment to the goal of ending homelessness; to support efforts to quickly re-house homeless individuals and families.

Our Vision

To recognize the requirements of the community so as to include and raise open awareness of families and people that are in danger of slipping into homelessness or that are living in poverty, and afterward to activate these endeavors with programs, services, and volunteers to take care of issues and accomplish economical self-sustaining households.

All purchases benefit the participants in our programs and they are reinvested to achieve self sufficiency of our charity and the communities we serve.

Join hands with AHSC to empower the community and make a difference.

Participant Acknowledgment

1. We do Assessment/Intake.
2. We check for availability and collect entry fee on https://ablehsc.org. Click the Donate tab.
3. Move into temporary housing.
4. Complete the weekly tasks that consist of ANY of the program areas: Housing, Finance, Food, Health and Wellness, Education, Work, Transportation, Disaster Assistance. You complete tasks by reaching out and discussing what you’ve done. You must do this for at least 30 days and make progress. Upon availability, you will go to the next step.
5. Move into transitional housing and continue to work on specific program tasks and complete assessment with case manager.
6. Prepare for long term housing and complete another assessment.
7. Graduate and prepare for your apartment or rental house. You will receive great gifts to help you in your first month.

The program may be altered and discussed with each participant as needed. We will work hand in hand to ensure you are on the right track. Our goal is to ensure your success and your path to self-sufficiency. We require a minimum of $65 to enter the program. This helps with the programming of the shelter and the funds are tax-exempt.
